UEFA Women's EURO 2025 Switzerland Trophy Box
When you think of football trophies, you probably picture the moment of victory, the roar of the crowd, the triumphant lift, and the sparkle of polished metal under stadium lights. But behind every great trophy is the care and intention with which it's preserved. This summer, I had the incredible honour of crafting something that holds not just a physical prize, but a memory: the wooden trophy boxes for the Player of the Match awards at the UEFA Women’s EUROs in Switzerland.
A total of 31 matches will be played during this unforgettable tournament, which means 31 unique trophies and just as importantly, 31 handcrafted boxes to keep them safe.
Each box is crafted from sustainably sourced wood, carefully chosen for its exceptional durability and natural beauty. Sustainability is at the heart of this project, because protecting the planet is just as important as celebrating those who shine on the pitch.
What makes these boxes truly special is the personalisation: engraved with the match day number, date, and location of each game, every single box tells its own story. No two are the same, just like the players who will receive them. From the opening game to the final, each box is a tribute to a moment of brilliance on the field.
Crafting these boxes by hand has been a labour of love. Every detail, from the grain of the wood to the final engraving, was created with pride and care, knowing these boxes will be part of a moment that matters. A keepsake for those who gave their all, and left their mark on European football.
Being entrusted with this responsibility was a privilege. It’s not every day you get to contribute, even in a small way, to a stage as powerful and inspiring as the Women’s EUROs. I’ll be watching every match with a bit of extra excitement, knowing there’s a piece of my work waiting to be handed to someone who earned it.
