From the Workshop to the French Alps: Bespoke Sustainable Wooden Signs for Hotel L’Hermine Blanche
Some projects are particularly rewarding because they bring together thoughtful design, natural materials and a beautiful setting. This was one of those projects!
I was delighted to work with iGOSKI Ltd on a bespoke signage order for Hôtel L’Hermine Blanche, creating a collection of wooden signs designed to complement the character of an Alpine hotel while providing guests with useful information throughout their stay.
43 Bespoke Wooden Signs
The order included 40 A4 freestanding “Good Morning” breakfast signs and three larger A3 safety signs for the sauna, swimming pool and hot tub.
The brief was a perfect fit for The Woodcycle, combining natural wood tones, personalised branding, mountain illustrations and carefully laid-out lettering to create a warm, rustic Alpine feel.
Sustainability is at the heart of this project. All the wood used to create these signs comes from FSC-certified sources, supporting responsible forest management and more sustainable material choices. I believe beautiful products should be made with consideration for the materials we use and where they come from. By choosing FSC-certified timber, we can combine the natural warmth and character of wood with a commitment to responsible sourcing.
The breakfast signs provide guests with helpful morning information, while the larger safety signs communicate important rules clearly and stylishly. Each design was created to feel like part of the hotel's surroundings rather than simply another notice on the wall.
Working with iGOSKI Ltd
I love working with businesses that appreciate the difference bespoke products can make. This project was a great opportunity to create something practical and distinctive, tailored specifically to the hotel's identity and its guests.
Projects like this show how wooden signage can bring together functionality, branding and sustainability, whether for hotels, holiday chalets, lodges, restaurants or other hospitality businesses.
A Project I'm Proud to Share
A big thank you to James and the team at iGOSKI Ltd for the opportunity to work on this order.
I'm really pleased with how the collection has come together. It's rewarding to see The Woodcycle's work becoming part of a real space, helping businesses create a welcoming experience for their guests while making considered choices about the materials they use.
