From the Great Outdoors to the Workshop: My GORE-TEX Project 🌧️
I've always loved the outdoors, and over the years, I've worn my fair share of GORE-TEX jackets. Living in Britain, you quickly learn to appreciate good waterproof gear!
So when I was contacted by Soho London to make 50 wooden coat hangers and 10 trouser hangers for GORE-TEX in London, I have to admit, it felt pretty cool.
It's not every day that a brand you've used and trusted yourself becomes a customer of your own business. As the person behind The Woodcycle, I put a lot of care into what I make, so being given the opportunity to create something for a brand I've known for years made this project extra special.
The hangers feature engraved GORE-TEX branding, combining natural wood with a clean, simple finish. It was a great project to work on, and one I'm genuinely proud of.
And I reckon the next time I pull on my GORE-TEX jacket and head out into the British weather, I'll have an extra reason to smile. 😄
It's a good feeling when something you use and appreciate in your own life connects with something you create in your workshop.
A big thank you to Soho London for the opportunity. This one's definitely a special one for The Woodcycle!
Made with care, by someone who genuinely appreciates the brand.
